Even the most skilled EMDR clinicians experience ruptures

Maybe your client went quiet mid‑set

Maybe they minimized their experience

Maybe processing stalled. Maybe they disappeared after a powerful session

Maybe you left thinking, “Well… that’s not what I planned”

And maybe you wondered:

  • Did I miss something?

  • Did I push too fast?

  • Did I choose the wrong target?

  • Did I break the process?

You didn’t break EMDR

Your client isn’t broken

But something did happen, and this training helps you understand exactly what

The most expensive clinical mistake isn’t a bad target...

It's missing the rupture

 Ruptures often hide behind:

  • “I’m fine”
  • “I don’t know”
  • “EMDR isn’t working”
  • Compliance
  • Silence
  • Intellectualization
  • Missed appointments
  • Assumptions
  • Processing stalls

This training teaches you how to spot, name, and repair ruptures, without shame, without defensiveness, and without abandoning the protocol

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, you will be able to:

When cultural humility is missing, ruptures multiply

When cultural humility is present, processing deepens

Secure your spot

Real Cases. Real Repair. Real Clinical Judgment.

You’ll walk through two powerful cases:

The Session I Wish I Could Do Over. Where the rupture happened, what was missed, and how repair allowed processing to continue safely

The Target That Should Have Waited. A brief but impactful example of how cultural meaning and readiness shape the protocol.

Who is this training for?

This training is perfect for EMDR therapists who:

  • Want to reduce dropout
  • Want to strengthen attunement
  • Want to improve outcomes
  • Want to avoid mistaking compliance for readiness
  • Want to integrate cultural humility into every phase
  • Want to feel confident repairing ruptures in real time

What makes this training different?

You’re not getting generic rupture theory. You’re getting:

  • Real cases
  • Real repair language
  • Real clinical judgment
  • Real cultural humility integration
  • Real decision‑making frameworks
  •  Real examples of what consultants actually see

This is a shame‑free zone

No perfection required

Just better awareness, better repair, and better outcomes
